Recording, mixing, mastering and producing in Vienna

How much is a recording day?
400 to 600 euros, equipment and engineer included. A single day is closer to 600. From day two it gets considerably cheaper, and multi-day album sessions come in around 400. More on recording
Is my music a good fit?
Rock, alternative, pop, indie, singer-songwriter, Austrian dialect music, metal and folk are what I work on most. The quickest way to find out is the catalog: every production is listed there with my role and a link. Browse the catalog
How many people fit in the live room at once?
The live room fits 3 to 6 musicians playing together. With the control room and the side room, up to 8 can record at once. More on recording
How much is mastering?
120 to 150 euros per song, vinyl mastering included. Stem mastering is 240 to 300 euros per song. More on mastering
How much is a mix?
800 to 1,500 euros per song. For albums of nine songs or more, 500 to 1,200 euros per song. You'll get the first mix within 3 to 4 days. More on mixing
What do you mean by producing?
Overseeing a production at another studio, supervising a live recording session, writing arrangements, or playing bass and guitar myself. We work out up front which of these you need. Producing is always billed separately, at 350 to 600 euros per song. More on producing

At the studio in Vienna
I record bands live, with 3 to 6 musicians in the live room and up to 8 at once, plus overdubs and vocals. A recording day costs 400 to 600 euros, equipment and engineer included.

Working remotely
Mixing, mastering and producing don't depend on where you live. I regularly work for producers in Switzerland and Germany who send their productions here to be mixed or mastered.
