Producing

"Producing" can mean many things. So before anything else, we pin down together what you need and what you expect. That's the most important step of the whole production: the clearer it is up front, the closer the result gets to what you have in mind.

Overseeing a production at another studio

I come along to your production at another studio and make sure the result matches what we agreed on.

Supervising a live recording session

At live sessions and concert recordings, I'm on site and set up the recording so the result can be released.

Arrangements

I help with song structure, instrumentation and individual parts, as far as my skills go. I'll tell you up front where my limits are.

Playing bass and guitar

I play bass and guitar on productions, and I've played in bands for many years (see About). Guitars, basses and amps are available at the studio. Playing is included in the producing price, but we need to agree on it clearly up front.

Finding musicians for your production

If you need another player for a recording, ask me. Through the productions of recent years I know drummers, pianists, horn and string players, singers and producers across genres. Tell me what the song needs, and I'll suggest someone who fits.

Price

  • Producing per song€350 to €600 For an EP or an album, we price the whole project.
  • Always billed separatelyon top Producing is added to recording, mixing and mastering, so the range per song is not the price of a finished song. All prices are VAT-exempt under the Austrian small business scheme.

For example: a single with one recording day, mixing and mastering, but no producing, comes to around 1,300 to 2,250 euros. With producing, add 350 to 600 euros per song.
